So I went on a road trip to Allerton Park this afternoon. The weather was not exactly ideal, with hail and rain on our way over there, but the sky soon cleared once we reached our destination. The light was filtering through holes in the clouds, and send rays of shimmering light off the water drops on leaves, and the whole place just felt so...clean.
I was amazed by the beauty of the park, even though I have been there plenty of times. The garden displayed a different kind of beauty every time I visited, and the theme for today is "celebration of life". Every tree and bushes and grasses are screaming that spring is here, and everything sprouts into life. I recounted my memory of the place from undergraduate, and suddenly realized how much fun we have had. But life moves on, and there's nothing I can complain about the life I am having right now.
Anyway, I was glad that the weather cleared just for the extent of our stay there (yeah, it began pouring the second we got into my car to drive back home.), the trip was great and relaxing. Life is good.
