It is kind of late, but I felt obligated to at least finish this reflection before going to bed.
It has been a rather busy week, first helping Clara packing and moving, followed by a data crash on Thursday for the meeting on Friday. There was such a huge change in pace between weekday and weekend that I thought that some of the events happened a while back, instead of the week immediately before this.
First the moving part, I was happy to be able to contribute and help out Clara with all the packing up she has to do while still stressing out about her research. I was surprised by the amount of merchandise she has to carry back for her friend, though, and wrapping those stuff took us a while, but we managed. Most of the Wednesday and part of Thursday was spent stuffing pots and dishes into boxes, moving the packed boxes into storage, and packing up the luggage for the trip home.
It felt weird being the one sending others off, since I was usually the first one to leave town back in undergraduate, and there weren't anyone for me to send off during graduate school. I'm both happy and sad about this, but I'll get over it. We'll see each other again, we all will, eventually.
I have already went through the data crashing part, so I'll just skip it right here. This Friday was the farewell and sharing night at ICCF, and it became closer to a farewell night for Luhai and Gloria (since they'll be one of the first ones to leave), with people sharing the time we've had together. We went over to Yi-Chin's place afterward for ice cream party, which was nice, but sticky.
Anyway, I am glad that the past week is over, but there is more challenge up ahead, and if I can survive the next 72 hours, I will be set for the rest of the week. Wish me luck. Ciao.
