It's kind of weird, but I seems to have the habit of staying near the grill during any BBQ party. It almost feels like that I am better at interacting with grills then people.
So the crowd from ICCF decided to hold a BBQ party today for some weird reason, and since I ran into some problem with data that could not be solved until my meeting with the professor tomorrow, I decided to go. The weather is surprisingly nice considering that it has been raining and windy for the past few days. It took us a while to get the fire started, since some people decided that lighter fluid is useless, and news paper is better. That might be true for conventional charcoal they use in Taiwan, but definitely not the case for the compact charcoal we use over here.
How was the party? Well, I am now covered in ashes and smell like charcoal for one, we toss the frisbee for a few times, and people chatted about weird topics like politic and other topics that I care little about. So I decided that it is a good time to have a date with the grill, at least we won't be having much disagreement.
Anyway, I am back at home sitting in front of the computer and reading through the pile of NASA technical paper I have, and hope that meeting tomorrow will be useful. I am glad to be kept busy, instead of playing computer game all day.
p.s. Pray for the people in the earthquake disaster area in China. We might not agree on a lot of things, including religion, but we are all human after all.
