We got a new copy machine in our main photo copy room, and it's quite a sight.
For some weird reason, the administration decided that we need a photocopy machine that can send scan copy of the document by email, fax, print, and copy two sided documents. It is quite some change, considering that I have not been in that room for a while.
Anyway, a bunch of random stuff happening today made my day, well, eventful, in a way.
I went into the office this morning expecting a meeting at 10am, well, it didn't happen as my professor is late to work. Anyway, me and a friend started to talk about airplane inlet, which is the topic of the meeting, and some how we ended up commenting on the weird blue-greenish color the Russian used to paint their airplane cockpits, and how it is similar to the color they painted the Su-27.
The discussion was interrupted by my professor's arrival, and by the time I got back to the office, the topic of discussion somehow shifted to squad toilets. For those who has been in both Far East and US would know that there is a huge difference in the public restroom setup. The squad toilet somehow became the joke of the day, and we make reference to it every now and then. I guess it's just one of the way that we relief our stresses.
The moral of the story? Well, grad-students is a boring, weird, dorky bunch of people (especially the engineers), and have nothing fun to do with life other than research and make random ridiculous comments on totally random things.
Anyway, the above story documented a day in the lab with a group of burnt out rocket scientist, next time I will place a warning sign on the building door before such thing happens so no one outside of the department would get hurt....yeah...
