Wolf Can Fly, Too

Picking up from where I left off last time.

The trip from Champaign to Chicago was uneventful at best, and I dozed off looking at the corn fields.

But that is not the purpose of this entry.

I got to Chicago at around 2pm, hungry and still sleepy, and I got a call from the friend that was going to pick me up saying that since he cannot get it touch with the people living in the city, he will not be driving over and I will have to take the Metro to his place.

So begins the struggle with the 74+ pounds luggage and trying to navigate the not so disability accessible part of the CTA stations. At least there's CTA, I guess, or I would have to walk three blocks to get to the Metro station.

It was a 1.5 hours ride, and I ended up in Joliet. That was when the suitcase cannot take it anymore and start falling apart. With both handle gone, the trip next day would be...interesting.

Had a good time there, though, and we chatted, we played Frisbee, and we played a few games of pool. It was nice time.

I was glad to be finally at the airport, tough, three hours after I left my friend's place riding Metro and CTA. I can finally split the luggage into my green duffel bag (which doesn't have a wheel).

I flew, slept, and felt refreshed.

Now it's time to head to LA for the reunion.

It'll be a fun time.
