Another week goes by, and I'm still here chilling, doing barely anything other than spending time in the library, and playing computer game.

So what have I learned this week? I made Baozi this week, following the recipe on a website that I frequently visit (speaking of which, I should make an entry for it at some point). I wasn't too confident when I start making them, since I did not have much success in rising flour dough before, I guess I simply did not raise the temperature high enough to activate the yeast. Anyway, they turned out alright, but did not look nearly as good as the one they sell in the market. It probably has something to do with the type of flour I was using.

Speaking of which, I sort of discovered that I am sensitive to gluten, a substance in wheat that only 2% of the US population can taste it, which is bad as it adds weird flavor to the dough. It would not matter as much, though, when consumed with the stuffing, which according to Joan tastes like hamburger meat (it was made with ground beef instead of ground pork from the original recipe).

Work this week was kind of frustrating, since the topic I was working on seems to have very limited prior research paper available. I guess people do not usually run into problem with having a huge gearbox right in the middle of an air passage. Anyway, I got to do what I got to do. I will just have to find something similar and just hope that it would work.
