Wolf Can Fly, Too

It's kind of hard to believe.

But it's been a week since I last updated.

Not that there's nothing to write about. The issue about Chinese New Year here is exactly the same issue I had with Christmas in the US. There's no one on the street, there's no store open, there's nothing to do. Well, at least for those of us whose family is kind of out of reach. But then again, there's always friends to do stuff with who are in the exact same situation as you are. So we spent the afternoon of the New Year's eve making dumplings, which in my opinion is too salty and might cause high blood pressure and other undesirable effects. The New Year day afternoon was spent biking in the East Coast park, which I don't have any pictures of since I did not bring my camera. And the last day of the break was spent, well, on sleeping the whole day so I will actually have enough mental strength to drag myself off to work.

Funny thing is that everyone's so inefficient that it really felt like we were all on extended vocation, and our bodies are back at work but our minds are not. Which also means that I had absolutely zero goals accomplished, other than the necessary day to day chore, in the past three days, apart from playing plenty of computer game, that is.

Anyway, the pastor talked about the "Chinese Connection" between God and men today. It was kind of interesting how once upon a time the ruling family of the empire was converted to Christianity, but the effect was coutered and all effort demolished by the decision of the pope (yes, I know it was supposed to be capitalized, but allow me to be disrespectful just this once...XD) in something called the "Rite Controversy". Regardless of the could have and should have beens, I am still interested in finding out more about the issue. So off I go to the wikipedia. Happy surfing, all my techno-head friends.
