It's Sunday, and I just thought that this might be a good time to scribble down some of the conclusions I made over this week.
First, video games are evil, EVIL I said, and yet they're so much fun. It's kind of weird that a game that many people got addicted to could not hold my attention span for more than 3 weeks. Should I feel good about myself for not getting addicted or feel bad for my short short attention span? Maybe I have ADD or something, just maybe. I guess that is just part of who I am, moving from one places to another, moving from one activity to another, always searching unless there's someone there keeping me on the track for something.
Oh, and I just had an interview with Singapore for a PhD position, and I think I will hear back from them soon. Wish me luck, even though getting a PhD there after being here for B.S. and M.S. seems to be a waste, but what can I do? Anyway, I talked to some friends from Mainland, and they mentioned a new company in China that would be working on a new line of commercial airliners. Now that might be something interesting, but I am not sure of the chances of being there yet. We will have to wait as see.
Humm, let's see, right, Church thing. So I actually got up early today and went to Church with a 學姊, it was sort of eventful, but the church is so big that barely anyone knows anyone else, and it felt kind of like a lecture hall. I have to say that the pastor gave a pretty interesting talk, but it would be quite nice if he could relate to our everyday living more. He read a passage, explained the story, explained the moral and teaching behind the story, and we ran out of time. I guess the "application" part differs from people to people, so much that something that works for person A would not work for person B.
Anyway, I went out to the Mall for a quick shop around, and the weather is the best I have seen in a long time. It would help if my "student" from driver training could hold the steering wheel a bit more firm, though.
The conclusion? It has been a decent week, but I do wish that I can see into the future, and find out where I would be settled for the next few years. Yes, next few years instead of next two months. I admit that I enjoy moving around and seeing different places, but not that often.
Anyway, Chao
