Wolf Can Fly, Too

Right, so why did I not have an entry yesterday?

That's right, it's LAN party time again =D. Things went pretty well this time overall, though we planned to play Battlefield 2142 but could never get the internet to work with eight computers on the same router.

Anyway, we ended up playing Frozen Thorn, which is still cool, but just imagine how the game would turn out when you have one seasoned veteran mixed with 4 slightly more experienced and 3 who have never played before. All in all, the game was pretty much one sided until we decided to do 5v3 against the more experienced.

We did get to play BF2142 in the end, though, in LAN mode, and we had a few games of Smash Bros in between. But going to bed at 6-ish and waking up for Church at 8:30 was not optimal, as my nerd friend would say. At least I managed to stay awake through the preaching, but that should go into the next entry.

Conclusion? Playing games with friends; good, playing all night, ok; playing all night when there's stuff going on the next morning, bad. Never over estimate yourself, ever, and expect that two hours sleep would be enough after 3 hour drive plus 7 hours of gaming. Yeah, that's why it's called Insane LAN Party, I must be out of my mind to pull this kind of stunt...
